Emma Rendell
Intake & EMDR Clinician | Specialist Program Coordinator

Emma (she/her) is an Accredited Mental Health Occupational Therapist, EMDR Therapist, and Intake Clinician. She also oversees our EMDR group and intensive programs in her role as Specialist Program Coordinator. Over the past decade, she has walked alongside people at many different stages of mental health recovery, working across psychosocial services, youth, acute care, forensic, hospital, and community settings. She has now found her professional home at Mindful Living, where she feels honoured to hold space for healing and transformation through EMDR and other integrative approaches.
Emma warmly welcomes, LGBTQIA+, First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse, and neurodivergent folk into her therapy space. She supports people navigating experiences such as anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, neurodivergence, sensory processing differences, and grief and loss. Emma has a special interest in working with neurodivergent people living with endometriosis and/or PMDD.
Her therapeutic style is anchored in presence, compassion, and authentic connection. She works in a way that honours both the wisdom of the body (somatic) and the wisdom of the mind and spirit, blending approaches such as EMDR, parts work, spirituality, motivational interviewing, sensory modulation, and narrative therapy to support deep and sustainable shifts.
Beyond her professional training, Emma’s life journey has also shaped the way she supports others. Growing up in a small farming town on beautiful Yorta Yorta country gave her a deep appreciation for down-to-earth connection with people, nature, animals and community. Her lived experience of neurodivergence, chronic pain, and rural living strengthens her understanding of the courage it takes to shape ones own cycle of trauma. Emma believes healing is not just about easing distress, but about reclaiming wholeness, self-trust, and connection to what truly matters.
Outside the therapy room, Emma fills her own cup up by listening to inspiring podcasts, attending live music, and wandering in nature with her rescue greyhound, Lilly.
