Jessica Gardner
Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Family Therapist

Jessica (she/her) is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Family Therapist and EMDR therapist with experience in private practice, community organisations and schools. She is a friendly and down to earth therapist who works with clients of all ages.  Whatever the challenge that brings people to counselling, Jess works collaboratively with clients and their strengths to see them thrive.

Jess has a special interest in trauma and draws on systemic and integrative frameworks which consider individuals in the context of their family, community and broader systems.  Jess utilises approaches such as EMDR, family therapy, single session framework, strength based solution-focused therapy and “no bullsh#t” therapy. Jess enjoys good books/podcasts and delicious food and values spirituality and getting out in nature as grounding practices.  During COVID-19 lockdowns Jess first embarked on providing therapy online, as has now enthusiastically embraced this part time as a great way to work from the comfort of home and increasing access to therapy for people who find it difficult to come into the clinic, whether due to sickness, disability, care responsibilities, location or simply preference.
