Sarah McEwen
Accredited Mental Health Social Worker

Sarah (she/her) is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, EMDR therapist and Tuning in to Kids facilitator at Mindful Living. She has more than twenty years experience across the mental health, community, education and private spaces supporting children, young people, adults and families with a range of life’s challenges.

Sarah offers a warm, insightful and relational approach to therapy. She believes passionately in the power of therapy for growth and change, and draws from a range of therapy approaches to support this journey, including EMDR, Polyvagal Theory, CBT, ACT, psychoeducation, and mindfulness based approaches. She is particularly interested in working with young people, and with depression, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and attachment wounds.
In her personal life, Sarah writes fiction, designs journals, enjoys nature (sometimes on her horse!), painting, baking, and spending time with her two kids. A parent in her 40s with lived experience of neurodivergence and of parenting neurodivergent children, she brings both creativity and understanding to her life and work.
