Susie Collins
Counsellor & Social Worker

Susie (she/her) is a Social Worker, Counsellor, and EMDR trained therapist. She has a variety of experience, having worked in private practice, primary education, adolescent alcohol and other drugs, and adult mental health. She has a particular interest in working with complex trauma, neurodiversity (autism and ADHD), personality disorders, and providing support to families where children are having difficulty with behavioural challenges. Susie is an LGBTQI+ ally and a neurodiversity affirming practitioner.

Susie doesn’t believe there is a one size fits all approach to counselling, and she keeps each person’s individual needs in mind. Her work is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She is also passionate about EMDR Therapy. She believes that all people deserve to have their story heard, with empathy and compassion. She hopes to be able to help people to improve their circumstances and work towards a rich and meaningful life.

Outside of work, Susie enjoys spending time with her two sons, going on bike rides, being outdoors, gaming, cooking, listening to music, and she aims to read a book a week.
